I have to say that between this pregnancy and my kids fighting NON STOP, this has been the longest summer EVER!! Because Rawlin has been gone for the last year, we thought it would be nice to just spend a summer at home. Normally we go to Lake Powell and/or St George. I can't believe what staying home all summer can do to kids!! I never thought I would be the kind of parent that would be anxious for school to start, but Chase has a tendency to bring out the worst in Kaden. He has already perfected the art of pushing every button Kaden has. Then my sweet little peace maker (Kaden) has become a very dramatic and emotional 7 year old! I don't know how it happened, but all of a sudden he is very.......hhhmmmm how should I put this........loud about the fact that I don't understand ANYTHING!! It seems like me freaking out at my kids, and Rawlin for never being home, is becoming a more common occurrence. So if anyone has any suggestions to help get me and my kids through the last three weeks until school starts, I would love to hear them!! Meanwhile, I am praying that the next three weeks go by fast because I don't know how much more fighting, yelling, screaming, and drama I can take!!

just come visit me!!!
Oh Shelly...I know EXACTLY how you feel!!! I have finally told my kids that I don't want to hear the fighting and tattling anymore. Remember when mom used to say "if you girls are going to fight like animals then go outside.". That might be a solution. LOL! Just go to your happy place. Hang in there!
Love you!

hey, not the solution to the fighting, but maybe it will help you find your happy place. i'm a series lover... and my favorite so far has to be dean hughs children of the promise. it's about a fictional family living in WWII and his next series is a sequal to it. let me know what you think.
