You know, when men get together and have nothing better to do than guard detainees, they come up with some of the DUMBEST ideas ever!! I don't know if you could tell by the video, but the guys in his squad decided they were all going to grow mustaches. Not only are they growing mustaches, but someone had the brilliant idea of dying them!! Heaven help all the wives that have to look at that scary site on web cam!!!
One night, Kaden called Pam (my sister) and I into his room because he said that he had a surprise for us. So, we went in there and he was putting a CD in his player. I looked at the CD right before he put it in and it was a Patriotic Kids CD that a friend had given him. He pushed play and sat on his bed. He started to sing "I'm proud to be an American". Our eyes immediately filled with tears. To hear his six year old voice singing a song with such a powerful message that means so much more to him than anyone else was a touching experience.
