I'm not quite sure how it happened, but I looked at the calendar and realized that school starts next week! Where in the world did the summer go!! We decided that we would go up to my Mom and Dad's house in Highland and totally live it up for one more week before we are back to the grindstone!!
Monday: Silver Lake
We had never been up there in the summer and couldn't believe how beautiful it is! It was really nice to escape the heat.
Ella is totally infatuated with my Dad!! It's not hard to see why!
Tuesday: Golfing with the Pro!!
One things my boys love is to do, is to go golfing with the pro, my Dad!!
Wednesday: Hot Dog Roast and sleep over with the family
All of my sisters and their kids minus one (we missed you guys Cori!!) came to my parent's house and had a big hot dog roast in the backyard! My mom had really cute hats that the kids could decorate when they got there while we got the fire started. After dinner mostly everyone camped outside. There was VERY little sleeping however! To say the least, there was never a dull moment.
Thursday: Utah Lake
My dad found the cutest little beach by Utah Lake. It was great because you could walk out a really long way and the water didn't come higher than the kids' stomachs. There was no one there but us. Chase was so funny because he WOULD NOT put his feet in the water. Pam would hold him and try to lower him down and he would hold his feet up higher! He finally warmed up to the water, but hated the feel of the mud in his toes!! It was really fun!
Friday: Bowling
Just before we headed home I took the boys bowling. I love watching how excited they get when they knock the pins down!
To say the least, this week was an awesome way say goodbye to the summer! We may have to make this a tradition! Thank you Mom and Dad! We love you so much!

When this week was finished, mom went to bed for four days and dad went to the loonie place.

I LOVE silver lake! Its one of my favorite places! Wes took me up in his jeep when I was due in one week with Peyton to get me to go into labor LOL. Didn't work! He was a bit too anxious I think!
