Rawlin has always wanted a denim quilt. So my mom said she would make him one......someday! After A LOT of time, blood, sweat, and tears my mom finished it. The finished product was more than any of us could have imagined. In the center of the quilt is the flag that hung in my parent's window while Rawlin was in Iraq. Then the rest of the quilt was made of denim from all occasions including Rawin's jeans from his motorcycle accident and his grease stained farm jeans, patriotic quotes, rustic starts, and blue camo on the other side.
I have never seen Rawlin get so excited about anything in my life!! So, what started out as a simple denim quilt, turned into mom's way of showing Rawlin her appreciation for his service and sacrifice for his country.
Thanks mom for everything you did while Rawlin was gone. and all you continue to do. (Even the things you do that you think no one notices!!) We love you so much and appreciate all the love and support that we received from all of our family and friends!
